I started my search for Halloween costumes early this year and managed to find ones that I think both I and Jeremy will be happy with this year. However any good stylist knows that in order to pull off any outfit you must accessorize!

Luckily for me I was able to acquire an opportunity to review my choice of costume accessories, and since I was in need of shoes to go with my outfit I jumped to do so. After some browsing around I decided on a pair of Red GoGo Boots.

Unlike my Black Patent Heels that I received last year these feature a 3” heel instead of a 5” heel. This is a bit important to me because I’m 5’6” and my Husband is 5’8”. So now I won’t tower over him TOO much. ;)  That and since I rarely wear heels I won’t feel quite so awkward walking around.

Trying to find a way to word the pros and cons of shoes is quite difficult, at least for me. So here is a simple pro and con list which I’d prefer if I were reading a review anyways.

Pros
Cons
  • Sturdy heel
  • Inside calf style zipper for easy slip on
  • Comfortable.
  • Doesn’t make my calves sweat.
  • Versatile for appearance accessorizing.
  • Lightly padded insole.
  • Comes in size 10, which is rare.
  • Top of the boot is very loose against the calves once zipped
  • Zipper is slightly sticky to use.

As you can see there are not very many cons that I found with these boots. The biggest one was that the top of the boot, which sits below the knee, was very loose once zipped up. It felt like I was wearing a dress that was a size too big if that puts it into perspective. I guess the manufacturers assumed that a size 10 foot would have really fat calves? Not quite sure.

Overall though I enjoyed these heels and can’t wait to wear them with my Halloween costume. I think they’ll go over well. I’ll just have to get used to the not so tight fit at the top.

Hello! My name is Dez and I just happen to be your not so average twenty-three year old gamer geek girl. I'm married to an equally geeky husband, Jeremy.

I'm also a mother who's trying to find out who she is while not losing herself completely in motherhood. A lover of video games (obviously), not blowing up my kitchen in an attempt to be a chef, and a pretend photographer. Learn more about me!
