I don’t know what I’d do without our furkids. They are just awesome.

Wow, another week? Jeremy and I wake up daily and say good morning to Vincent, who tends to kick in response. While it’s a new day where has all the time gone?!

I’ve created a baby pool. The goal is to try to guess when our little luma will arrive, what weight, how long, and what color hair he’ll have. If you’d like to place your bet just click: http://www.bebepool.com/luma :)

You can now also find most of my pregnancy ramblings, thoughts, and cravings over at Dear Vincent! Jeremy has also started his own blog, Musings for Vincent.

Arms up! Arms down! Either way I’ve grown a lot this week it seems! It kinda shocked me looking in the mirror. I also love the shape my front view has taken. :)

I did a general tarot reading for 2012, ”What should I be aware of for 2012″. I tried to focus the question with I being the intent of everyone and drew the Ace of Wands.

Positive. New beginnings. New thinking. New opportunities. Energy. Growth. Conception. Fertility. Intuition.

It’s the time to start something new. Ace of Wands is an unpredictable force and cannot be controlled. It’s hard to say whether the energy will continue in a steady manner or fizzle out after a time.

Try to let events happen naturally and not will them your way, but do not be afraid to ask for what you want or act. Be aware that there may be a sudden manifestation of growth. This could be a new relationship, new job, understanding, pregnancy, or birth of a child.

I find the reading quite interesting considering it’s New Years Day, the time where everyone starts new resolutions. I also hope it helps for those in the TTC department. I know for me it will bring about a new birth!

It just feels a bit unreal that we’re going into yet another new year. This year has held so many wonderful surprises and challenges. I have no reason to say, “Get the fuck out 2011. I hope 2012 will be a better year.” in a bitter sense. I know that 2012 is going to bring many more surprises, challenges, and quite a few changes with it. Before I get to that however let’s recap 2011 before I go any further.

January - Jeremy and I rescued a boston terrier that we named Ares. We ended up placing him with the Boston Terrier Rescue who found him a permanent home within a week!

February - Nothing of note really, with the exception that I made homemade chocolate covered strawberries for Valentines day.

March - I’ve lost a lot of weight at this point and fit into size 13 pants. I had to also stop calorie counting because I became too addicted and was bordering anorexia levels. This month Jeremy and I also met with a Reproductive Endocrinologist who gave us our options.

April - Easter is the obvious answer :P, but I also decided at the end of April to give vegetarianism a serious go.

May - Had my laparoscopy procedure preformed and decided to start focusing more on me and not TTC.

June - Had a “open mouth insert foot” moment when I was a bitch to Jeremy because he wouldn’t let me go to town with him. Turns out he bought to buy me flowers and wanted it to be a surprise. This is also the month that depression hit me hard enough that I started making plans to do something about it.

July –  Jeremy and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary! This was also the day that we found out we unlocked the pregnancy achievement! We are now expecting a baby Luma. Upon finding this out I gave up vegetarianism so that Luma could have all the proper nutrients.

August - We bought a house!

September - Switched to a new OBGYN and watched The Lion King 3D in theaters. LION KING! <3

October - Had our annual birthday bash where I made a kickass Mortal Kombat cake for Jeremy. We also added two new additions to our family. Kitana and Stryker.

November - Jeremy rescued two more kittens that we fostered until they were ready to go to their new home. We named them Oreo the Demon Kitty and Grey One. I also hosted our first ever holiday dinner for Thanksgiving. It turned out awesomely.

December - I decided to celebrate my first pagan sabbat, Yule/Winter Solstice. We had an awesome feast. Let’s not forget about Christmas either! We had an awesome Christmas filled with delicious feastness and fun.

How was your 2011?

Overall I’d like to say that my 2011 went pretty smoothly. I even managed to complete some of my 2011 goals…oh? I had goals for 2011? Yes I did. Granted most of what I accomplished was off my goals and aspirations list, some of them tied in with the 2011 goals I made last year. Such as get pregnant, get out of the obese category, become more spiritual, and read more.

2012 is going to be a busy year. Cherry will be graduating high school in May. Vincent will be arriving sometime in March. I’ll have to stop indulging in cheesecake and actually work on my fitness again. I’ll be able to drink caffeine again though! I’m a bit excited by that. I’d list out some goals for 2012 but that would be a bit redundant as I tend to read my goals and aspirations page more than a blog entry, so I’ll just add them there and focus on marking off as many as I can!

Do you have any goals for 2012?

Hello! My name is Dez and I just happen to be your not so average twenty-three year old gamer geek girl. I'm married to an equally geeky husband, Jeremy.

I'm also a mother who's trying to find out who she is while not losing herself completely in motherhood. A lover of video games (obviously), not blowing up my kitchen in an attempt to be a chef, and a pretend photographer. Learn more about me!
