For the past two years I’ve participated in the Holiday Wishlist/Giving meme and no surprise but I’m going to be participating again this year. This is a meme that hits the blogging world around this time. Feel free to repost this on your own blog and leave me a link here so that I can see your desires and maybe help out as well. So here’s the cut and paste:
Step One
Make a post to your blog, tumblr, facebook, myspace, what have you. The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really want and that people can see the post. If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it’s your address or just an email address at which you can be contacted by potential wish-grantors.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your post, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
Surf around your friends list/blogroll/RSS feeds (or friends friends, or just random places ) to see who has posted their list. If you have a list be sure to leave it in my comments section so I can view your wishes! If you see a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make someone’s wish come true. Sometimes someone’s trash is another’s treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don’t want or a gift certificate you won’t use–or even know where you could get someone’s dream purebred Basset Hound for free–do it.
If you happen to want to send me any of this gifts, please email me at x@deltaechozulu.com or comment on here. Thanks in advance!
So if you have posted a wishlist or would like to help leave your comment below.
So tonight I was relaxing on the bed when I remembered someone from my Due Date Club asking about seeing stomach movement. I pulled my shirt up and watched my own tummy wondering if I’d be able to see any through the layers of fat.
After waiting a while Vincent woke up and started moving. I watched my stomach move a bit then jump when he’d kick. I yelled at Jeremy who was downstairs to come check it out. I probably sounded insane which is why he made it up the stairs so fast, but I told him to be quiet and just watch my stomach. Waiting a bit more Vincent started moving around again and you could see my stomach move up and down in areas. Jeremy put his hand on my stomach and Vincent kicked really hard.
It was awesome yet so freaky! I’m going to have to remember to video tape it. SO EXCITED!
A few weeks ago I found out that Nintendo was releasing a Limited Edition Legend of Zelda 3DS bundle in Europe. This included the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3DS game as well as a black/gold 3DS that had Zelda decals on it. Of course there was no release date set for North America or talk of any plans that I knew of to release it here. With my heart full of jealousy I tried not to care. After all why on earth did I even want a 3DS aside to play some newer games? What was wrong with the plain black, aqua, or red 3DS’s that they released here?
I still had a gift card from my birthday and let me just say that I have a horrible time buying things for myself, especially expensive things. It can take me months as I have buyers guilt or think I should buy someone else something with a gift that was to me. Since I still had the gift card I decided to hop on Amazon to see if they were selling 3DS. The answer to that was both yes and no. Amazon themselves were not, but there were plenty in the marketplace for jacked up prices. Why the hell would I pay $200 for a 3DS when the reserved price is around $169? Fuck you guys.
A bit saddened I abandoned my quest and checked the gaming news network to see if any updates for the Zelda edition were up. This created some mixed emotions as sites were reporting that Best Buy and GameStop were going to stock the Limited Edition bundle! I was super excited until I checked their websites and found the bundles and saw that it said “Black Cosmos 3DS bundle” which included the game and what I could only think of as the plain black cosmos 3DS, NOT the limited edition decal one. Finally after a few days the information updated and each site had a proper description and photo of the bundle, which excited me to no end yet depressed me as they were out of stock. *sad panda face* =’(
Black Friday arrived and I of course stalked the sites with the bitter end being that they were out of stock. Once again I went back to my ranting of “I don’t even care!” and pouted around the house. Truth be told I’m not sure why I cared so much, it was just a game system. However it was an awesome game with a limited edition kick ass designed console that I could use to play newer games with that weren’t compatible with the DS lite like DSi games are. *sigh* I’m sure I annoyed Jeremy to no end with my “I don’t even care!” rants.
Yesterday I decided to once again check Best Buy’s website just to see if anything had changed. I was delighted to see that they were in stock, not only online but at the store in the mall as well. However I was filled with instant sadness as I realized that I still needed a bit more money in order to actually buy the 3DS. Before I left to go pick up my Dad’s car so that I could go pick up Cherry from the airport I promised Jeremy that I wouldn’t just swipe the credit card to buy the 3DS.
As luck would have it my Dad gave me some money for helping with a few things this year and wouldn’t take no for an answer. JUST THE AMOUNT I NEEDED TO BUY THE 3DS!!!! I couldn’t get to the phone fast enough to let Jeremy know and double check that it would be okay to use the credit card to purchase it then put the money in the bank. *squeeee!!!*
Before picking Cherry up from the airport I had a nagging feeling that I should swing by Best Buy first and pick up my belated birthday present. This was an adventure in itself as it took three Best Buy employees and an assistant manager to understand that I wanted the Limited Edition Legend of Zelda 3DS Bundle, you know the one that has the Zelda graphics on the 3DS console and comes with the game, and NOT the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword bundle for the Wii. Instant headache as I explained it about six different ways and put emphasis on “3DS”. Then as the assistant manager came up to ask what was up the employee says “I don’t know what to type in to find what she wants.” It took a lot of power not to laugh as the Assistant said, “Legend of Zelda 3DS.”

In the end it was worth the headache as I mentally skipped happily to my car, ignoring the fact that I was probably waddling a bit, with my birthday present in hand. It was a good thing I listened to my intuition to go there first because when Cherry and I stopped by later they were all out. GO ME!
This is probably the geekiest post I’ve written in a while, but I just had to brag about my excitement.
Now that the Feast is over it’s mandatory that I post some shots of our 2011 Thanksgiving. Sadly I was so busy in the kitchen hovering over the food to make sure that everything was going on schedule that I only managed one action shot, which happens to be of Jeremy and my Brother playing Mortal Kombat on the PS3. The rest are all food porn photos.

*explode*
I’m happy to report that the starving children in Africa won’t starve because we cleaned up our plates pretty well. I was actually a bit worried that we didn’t have enough food since our menu consisted of cranberry-onion turkey with gravy, Dr. Pepper ham, green bean casserole, scalloped potatoes, and rolls. Luckily we not only had enough food to feed two big male appetites as well as my own small one, but we were also able to make two take home plates for my Dad and Grandma who couldn’t attend while only having a small portion of turkey and ham left over for ourselves! WIN! WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN! :D
I was really worried about Thanksgiving Feast this year because it was my first raw turkey cooking adventure and I decided it would be awesome to try a new recipe for how to cook it. Apparently I had bigger problems than “would it taste delicious” because the turkey managed to cook an hour and a half faster than I estimated using the whole “20 minutes per pound” directions on the package. Since I didn’t have the sides even started the turkey cooked another forty five minutes before everything else was done, THANKFULLY it still turned out moist. *pumps fist in the air* Both Jeremy and my Brother gave me many compliments on how wonderful and delicious the whole meal turned out. So huge ego boosts to me.
Before I part, you see that photo of the Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Pie up there? I have not even touched that yet. No one has. We were all too full. My plate was small as you can tell, but I still had no room left to gobble up some pie. I honestly do not see how anyone can eat pie almost immediately or within an hour of finishing off a feast.
How was your Thanksgiving? Assuming you celebrate, if not do you celebrate anything similar?
