Just a typical evening in the Awesomesauce home. Jeremy has Leo playing around with a laser light we bought for the cats. I was pretty shocked that he went for it!
After dealing with the hot summer and a past week of highs in the 90′s I’m so glad that the weather is finally cooling off into my comfort zone again. From inside my house it looked like it was pretty hot out today. Full sunshine, no clouds in sight, just a slight breeze. I whined as I slipped on my shoes so I could go turn the water on and feed Wilbur. As I stepped outside however I was shocked that it was such a nice day! The weather was pretty cool, 65-68F with more of a breeze than I saw. Perfect weather for me!
So I borrowed a lawn chair from my Dad since the metal one I used yesterday hurt my ass, pulled a end table outside, plopped my laptop on it and kicked back to enjoy the outdoors while still being connected virtually. Leo of course loved it for the first ten minutes or so. Bounded around the yard, chased birds out of HIS tree bush thingy, rolled in the grass, typical “OMG I LOVE IT” dog behavior.

Now however we’ve been out here for a couple hours and he’s pouting by the door to be let in. He’s done. What kinda dog is this? =/ Certainly not mine! Much to his dismay we’re still outside watching birds fly around and cars drive by as we rock out to music. Such a fine day.
Most of the things that go on in my daily life are silly but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. These little silly things are what put a smile on my face and really help lift the melancholy mood I’ve been in lately. So here are some videos I took today to share. I’d turn down your speakers and ignore my house.
This is something we do almost daily with Leo. We try to get him to howl because it’s just so funny sounding.
We can’t use the words: walk, Grandpa’s, outside, out, or treat, or run without Leo flipping out similar to this. Just seconds before I had made the mistake of saying we should take Leo for a run. Jeremy took this opportunity to really rile him up.
When I say I’m taking Leo for a run it means we hop into the car, go to the deserted back road, and let him loose as we drive along aside him. He loves it and it’s a great way to get rid of some of his energy for about an hour since we don’t have a fenced in yard for him to run around in.
Leo finally mastered the treat on the nose trick!
So as you can see, silly yet awesome for my life. What are some silly things you do in your life?
